I'm Dani! The creator of Silver Meridian Photography.
PNW and Arizona wedding, elopement, and couples photographer
Let’s turn memories into art together.
I'm inspired by the light within you. Let me show you how beautiful you and your partner are together.
I earned a BFA in Photography from Arizona Sate University where I fell in love with the magic of analog image making. The use of film and the darkroom helped guide me into understanding the digital world of visual story telling through portraiture and landscapes.
I’m especially drawn to adventures on mountain tops, in overgrown gardens, chasing light and getting lost in misty forests. I am based in SE Portland, Oregon but have quite a few places on my list I’d like to travel! If you are eloping count me in! I love destination weddings!
I adore intimate moments between two loved ones and photographing those moments into forever romantic, authentic, and genuine keepsakes. Photography is my favorite medium of art so if you love artfully composed photographs that remind you of why you and your sweetie are meant for each other or why whispering the word burrito into each others ear makes you laugh until you pee yourself we should definitely get to know each other over a slice of pizza or tea.
If you feel that Silver Meridian Photography is a good fit for you or you have questions, please visit my contact page, where you can send me a message. I’m looking forward to getting to know you!

My background in film has shaped my perspective on image making forever.
My first camera was a 35mm Minolta. I carried it everywhere I went and shot primarily black and white film. I'm a tactile person and enjoyed learning manually with such a powerful yet simple tool. It helped me understand the way light works and really forced me to slow down and have a lot of intention every time I released the shutter. Whenever it was time to unload my film and rewrap it into a light tight canister to process, my heart would race with excitement. This process was done in complete darkness to protect the silver lined latent images that had not yet been transformed by chemicals. It was a labor intensive experience but always exciting once the film had been completely processed and dried.

Precious metals and your love meridian.
There's just something so special about not knowing what the image will look like until all is said and done. Only the film and the silver halides know what that moment looked like and it's not until microscopic pieces of precious light sensitive metal are washed away that the image or moment is revealed. Silver is a beautiful metal that's reflective, the way our own inner light can be reflective upon one another and when we're vulnerable with our partners in front of the camera magic happens. An invisible force of uniting energy is passed back and forth in an infinite cycle or meridian of love.
